A Shopping Center is the next step to Carolina Springs
The 380 acre development is a mixed-use facility under construction along U.S. 1.
An undeveloped section of Holly Springs is now shaping into an area where people can live, play, and now work or shop. Carolina Springs is 380 acres of land between U.S. 1 and Old Holly Springs Apex Road. The town council first approved the plan to turn the acreage into a mixed-use development in 2020.
The Carolina Springs plan includes neighborhoods and commercial/retail space.
While the neighborhoods are under construction, Shenandoah Homes is looking to add a shopping center that includes a grocery store. The planning board passed the rezoning plan on January 28th.
During the meeting, one of the planning board members asked about the indoor training facility that will include an ice rink. The developer’s team responded to say that the facility is still in the works, but more funding is needed to get it built. The town council approved the project plans for the building in 2023.
