Potential riders got to weigh in on the future "all wheels" park at Cass Holt.

The future Cass Holt Park just across from Holly Springs High School will include a park designed for bikes, scooters and skateboards. As a parent of two I can say this park is long overdue. I’ve made many trips to Apex so the kids could ride their skateboards in a safe place. So I was pleased to learn that the same creator of the Apex park is also creating the future one for Holly Springs.

The creator, Team Pain, participated in a virtual meeting hosted by the Parks and Rec department.

As a courtesy to the meeting planners I won’t share a video from the virtual meeting. The reason is because the meeting video will only be available for one week.

People have a chance to take a survey to weigh in on their thoughts…

While listening to the event, I had one thought: “why is this happening now? The funding isn’t a done deal since it has to come from the bond that will be put on the ballot in November.”

If the bond passes, the “all wheels” park could be open by 2026 and as one participant stated Holly Springs could be called “Ollie” Springs.
