Pine Springs Preparatory Academy Passes Another Hurtle
Plans for the Upper School go before the Holly Springs Planning Board
The latest plans for the Pine Springs Upper School moved forward at the Holly Springs Planning Board meeting on February 25th. The proposal easily passed as part of the ongoing effort to get the school built.
The charter academy plans to build a high school within the business park along Green Oak Parkway. The land was rezoned for the school late last year, and the next step in the approval process is submitting a development plan.
Head of School Bruce Friend and project engineer Andy Petty presented an updated plan based on the town’s recommendations. The revisions include adding stop signs on campus to improve safety. The board also inquired about EV chargers, and the developer confirmed that space will be available.
Once completed, the school will stand three stories tall and span over 121,000 square feet. The town council will review this latest plan in March.
