Rex Road Elementary
Construction gets the green light
The Wake County School Board approved funding for the future Rex Road Elementary School on May 2nd. The new school will be located on the west side of town which is quickly growing.
Vines Architecture is designing the school and shared some ideas online.
Per Wake County Schools, Rex Road ES should be ready for students by January 2025. The opening does mean another round of reassignment. Reassignment is designed to add students and rebalance the other schools that are at or exceeding its population size.
